Tricast
..........................................................................................

Tricast is a range of rigid polyurethane foam sheets, its possible uses are almost as wide and varied as the imagination.
From the lowest density to the highest, all materials can be used as shaping media for models or GRP formers, insulation, floatation, even as a structural part of a composite. Each material has a range of physical properties, one of which could be suitable for your application. Its high resistance to the more common solvents makes it easy to bond, fill, spray paint finish, laminate with polyester resins, providing a versatile and economic medium.

Amongst the standard sheet materials, Trident Foams also offers its scoreboard product. Scoreboard is available in thickness from 6mm to 38mm, from Tricast 6; its scoring allows the material to form compound curves when bonding or laminating. With the magic of CNC Trident can also produce complex 2-dimentional shapes, if you can provide a dimensional drawing, template or even a sketch; Trident can digitise the shape to produce your component in a Tricast foam. Whatever your foam needs Trident Foams may have the answer, contact us with your queries.

The densities available make economic selection easy:

Tricast 2 32Kg/M3 is usually used as insulation.

Tricast 2.5 40Kg/M3 is ideal for buoyancy.

Tricast 3 48Kg/M3 is the lowest of the carving densities.

Tricast 4 64Kg/M3 is the lowest of the range usually used as a structural core material.

Tricast 5 80Kg/M3 is a good structural standard and is widely used as reinforcement in GRP tooling.

Tricast 6 96Kg/M3 is the highest density of the Tricast range, and carries approvals as a core material for the marine industry.

Standard sheet sizes for all materials are 2.44M x 1.22M x thickness to order, maximum and minimum thickness vary by product.
